Paramyxovirus-1 inactivated, AP 1282 strain. 50 DP50 (10⁹ DIE50 before inactivation). The etiological agent of Pigeon Paramyxovirosis is a Paramyxovirus-1. The clinical picture of this disease is characterized by the presentation of respiratory signs (conjunctivitis, dyspnea, and nasal discharge) along with incoordination, torticollis, paralysis, diarrhea and high mortality.
The inactivated Paramyxovirus-1, strain AP 1282, included in the HIPRAVIAR-AP vaccine is adjuvanted with an aqueous substance. The adjuvant causes no side effects and, together with the high concentration of virus it contains, this makes HIPRAVIAR-AP particularly suitable for preventing Paramyxovirosis in pigeons.
